CE Insights Test Survey Privacy Statement

This statement describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants. Please note that this survey is powered by Qualtrics, which means Qualtrics' use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Purpose of Survey

We appreciate your feedback! This testing survey will help us evaluate the quality of proposed questions for upcoming surveys about alignment between the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia communities.

What Information We Collect

This survey collects your username, and the responses you provide to the questions asked; there are two types of answers: defined responses, and free-form responses. It may also may ask for your name, and information about your location, languages understood, and activity on the Projects. You may choose not to provide this information if you wish. This survey may also ask for your email address; if you choose to provide this information, it will not be publicly shared, it will be retained indefinitely, and it will only be used to contact you for follow-up questions about the survey.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

The results of this survey will not be shared publicly, and will only be available to Wikimedia staff working on this project. Raw data will be retained for a maximum of 90 days; anonymized data will be retained indefinitely. We may disclose any collected information when required by law, when we have your permission, when needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, users, or the general public, and when necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or any other Wikimedia policy.

By submitting your response, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage, processing, and use of the collected information in the United States and other places as may be necessary to carry out the purposes and objectives discussed above, which may have different or less stringent data protection laws than your country.

Wikimedia understands the importance of user privacy. For this reason, we work to protect our users from the unauthorized disclosure or use of information we maintain.
