ARS represents the copyright interests and permissions of over 100,000 visual artists from all over the world, including those of Adele Morse. Ms. Morse recently alerted us to an image of her copyrighted artwork, Stoned Fox (seen on her website here: https://www.adelemorse.com/stoned-fox.html), that appears on Wikimedia Commons, stating the image is under a Creative Commons license. The link to the Wikimedia Commons page is here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Stoned_Fox.jpg. Ms. Morse’s artwork is copyright protected and neither she, nor any of her authorized representatives, have authorized Stoned Fox to be licensed under a Creative Commons license. As I’m sure you understand, keeping this image posted on your site could do immense damage to Ms. Morse’s exclusive copyrights. Users will assume that the artwork can be freely used in accordance with Creative Commons terms, which is not the case. Accordingly, we ask that you immediately remove this link from your site.
