Whereas, the Board of Trustees is responsible for conducting reviews of Board candidates to ensure that they are suitable to be appointed as trustees;
Whereas, the Board’s vetting process includes conducting background checks, media checks, legal assessments, reference checks, and interviews; and
Whereas, the Board wishes to document its candidate review practices, and its commitment to follow them;
Now, therefore, it is
RESOLVED, that the Board adopts the Board of Trustees Candidate Review Process policy.
