Purpose is still unclear
Under "Purpose of Registration Form" it says "to collect registration data". That is not a purpose, that is what you do. This section should answer why the data is collected. Ainali (talk) 06:47, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- Since I haven't received a reply here, I have copied the question to the Wikimania help desk. Ainali (talk) 09:00, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hey @Ainali: Sorry for the delay here, the team has had a really busy past month, as you can imagine :) Registration data is collected to allow the Wikimania organizers to reach you about the event and give you access to the virtual event platform. The specific registration data that Wikimania organizers are collecting has been/is being used to evaluate the event and make determinations about technical, translation, and community needs, including ensuring the maintenance of Wikimania as a friendly space. Consistent with the registration privacy statement, all information that we obtain from Eventbrite will be deleted, anonymized, or aggregated within 90 days. More information about registration through Eventbrite is on the Wikimania FAQ Hope that helps, looking forward to seeing you at Wikimania --ELappen (WMF) (talk) 19:40, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
