From Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki

This statement describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants.

Please note that this survey is powered by Google Forms, which means Google's use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Purpose of Survey

This is an application to be a member of the Leadership Development Working Group, a global, community-driven working group. The goal of the survey is to invite community members interested in joining the task force to share information about their motivations and qualifications.

What Information We Collect

This survey collects the responses you provide to the questions asked. There are two types of answers: defined responses and free-form responses.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

The results of this survey will not be shared publicly. Your application will be reviewed by the Wikimedia Foundation Community Development team and a review panel of volunteers and Wikimedia Foundation staff. Your name, username, and email address will be removed from your application before it is shared with the review panel, but we strongly suggest that you do not provide other personal information in response to any other questions. Usernames of all those selected for the Leadership Development Working Group will be published in the announcement of the team on meta.wikimedia.org.

Raw data will only be shared with Wikimedia staff, contractors and a small group of volunteers who have been selected to help review applications, with the exception of the circumstances described below.

We may disclose any collected information when required by law, when we have your permission, when needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, users, or the general public, and when necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or any other Wikimedia policy.
