Procedure for Partial foundation ban missing

The procedure for partial foundation bans should be added. --Count Count (talk) 11:58, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

Currently, the Office Actions page states that the WMF will terminate the accounts of any user whose content accrues multiple DMCA takedowns (or who repost content that is subject to a DMCA takedown). Does "terminate" in these cases refer to a global lock, a full WMF global ban, or something else entirely? 2600:4040:500D:5900:5584:5BB6:616C:A7E3 18:47, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

Is there a page somewhere- maybe here, maybe on governance wiki- that provides a log of past office actions made by the WMF? Edward-Woodrow (talk) 12:05, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
@Edward-Woodrow nothing complete and authoritative that I'm aware of. You can follow up on this at foundation:Policy talk:Office actions. — xaosflux Talk 12:20, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

Is there? Edward-Woodrow (talk) 12:29, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

The only thing I could find was the WMF Office account log. https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&user=WMFOffice&type=globalauth Mayfair Rose (talk) 15:13, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. Edward-Woodrow (talk) 15:48, 9 July 2023 (UTC)

Edit request

Within the section Policy:Office actions#Use of advanced rights by Foundation staff, the "Page protection" information references a {{reset}} template which does not exist (on the English Wikipedia, at least, as well as the couple randomly-selected projects I checked). On the English Wikipedia, the correct template would be {{pp|reset}}. Tollens (talk) 02:55, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

@Tollens: I made an edit to hopefully address this discrepancy. Thank you for your feedback! --Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 21:13, 5 December 2023 (UTC)

@GVarnum-WMF: Hi, can you please add colons to the start of the en: links in the 'intban' and 'rfpp' tags so they don't get treated as interlanguage links. Thanks! --Nintendofan885T&Cs apply 19:34, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

Done. Thank you! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 00:11, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

Does the WMF Global Ban Policy need any updates?

I didn't know if I should put any new information in that policy such as details regarding appeals or prior warnings Seiyena Elizabeth (talk) 15:36, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

@Seiyena Elizabeth: I am not aware of any need for updating or plans from Legal to update the policy. Can you elaborate on why or what types of updates may be needed? --Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 23:32, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
