Hello. Multiple links in the section "How to guides and more information" are broken because pages have been moved/deleted. Maybe you want to fix or remove them. --Ameisenigel (talk) 15:54, 1 May 2023 (UTC)

please? The current syntax is technically valid but likely to be confusing to translators and several (which I just fixed) have bungled it Pppery (talk) 16:25, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, @Pppery, for pointing that error out. I have gone ahead and fixed it. Thank you! --Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 10:19, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
Add another base layer?
Wikipedia maps are great but somehow not really suitable in the wikimedia project for highliting natural features, such as lakes, mountains, etc.
It would be great to add at least a second base layer such as Mapstrack on OSM or like this Mapbox style
Would it be possible? --Sette-quattro (talk) 15:06, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Sette-quattro: Hello, thanks for your suggestion. It is recommended to submit your idea to the Community wishlist, which is a forum for contributors to share ideas to improve Wikimedia product and technology. SCP-2000 (talk) 08:30, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
The name and location of my city and governorate is incorrect and accurate in all web maps
The name and location of my city and governorate is incorrect and accurate in all web maps It appears in the name of another city and governorate, and I live and follow another city. Please help in updating and correcting this thing to show the name of my city and governorate correctly and accurately in all web maps, where the boundaries of the city and the governorate have almost been added or drawn, depending on a file imported from the Ministry of Health, incorrect and accurate, the days of the epidemic and the Corona pandemic. Please update and correct the maps correctly and accurately, and correct the name of my city and my governorate to appear correctly and accurately. This is the name of the city and the city of Al-Juwain Governorate, this is shown in all and more maps under the name of other cities and other governorates such as Muqza and Al-Raith. Please update the map to appear correctly and accurately in all web maps and appear in the name of the city of Al-Juwain Governorate of Harub Governorate Best regards to you. - Hello. If you are asking about content that is displayed in the dynamic maps (that can zoom in/out), that data is taken directly from the OpenStreetMap project (which is not part of the Wikimedia Foundation's projects), and would need to be updated or discussed there. See Policy:Terms of Use for Wikimedia Maps#Where does the map data come from? for links and related information.
- If you have further related questions, please ask at the Help Desk of the Wikipedia in your preferred language, as they will be able to help you better there. This page is intended just for discussing the Policy itself.
- I hope that information helps. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 21:06, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
