Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation passed a resolution establishing the Wikimedia Foundation Endowment at the Tides Foundation (Tides) on December 9, 2015;
Whereas the Board is continuing to evaluate possible alternative structures for the Endowment;
Whereas the Foundation is receiving donations and planned bequests earmarked for the Endowment;
Now, therefore, it is:
Resolved, that the Board instructs Foundation staff to accept and process donations and planned bequests earmarked for the Endowment, and remit the funds upon receipt to the Endowment care of the Endowment's host entity, until such a time as the Board passes a resolution changing the Endowment's structure to become a separate independent entity able to receive donations and planned bequests directly.
