Whereas, the Board of Trustees approved the Universal Code of Conduct in December 2020;
Whereas, at that time, the Board asked that the second phase of the Universal Code of Conduct implementation be completed by July 2021;
Whereas, community involvement in the second phase of implementation is essential;
Whereas, the Board recognizes that there are several important movement-wide conversations currently ongoing that are also demanding community members' attention; and
Whereas, in light of these factors, Wikimedia Foundation staff have requested additional time to complete the second phase of the Universal Code of Conduct implementation;
Now, therefore, it is:
RESOLVED, that the Board adjusts the deadline for the second phase of the Universal Code of Conduct implementation, outlining clear enforcement pathways, to December 2021.
