Portuguese language

Dear Sirs,

The websites from wikis Wikimedia and translatewiki.net in Portuguese isn't almost in Portuguese at all. It is in Portuguese (Brazil) that is not the same. The Portuguese (Brazil) doesn't represent the Portuguese language is the other way around.

The Portuguese language is represented by the Portuguese (Portugal) only.

Why no one help and ignore the Portuguese language?! And why the Brazilians are saying to the Portuguese translators that some of the translations have years and that they should not be fixed?! It is more than wrong this attitude and does not follow the guidelines of the Wikimedia.

Hope that someone could from Portuguese community could help.

I can carry on helping more within the Portuguese language and bring it to the way it should be.

I am a Portuguese native and translator since 1984 by education and help Mozilla within the SUMO translations, Weblate proofreader, Mattermost proofreader, and with more than 20 years of experience in software translation.

Thank you so much for your time.

Kind regards, Maria Manuela Silva Interpreter/Translator

OBS: Desculpem por estar em inglês, é que é uma cópia do que enviei nos sites acima mencioandos, mas que não recebi nenhuma resposta até agora. Muito obrigada. Man Sil (talk) 14:47, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Man Sil: This appears to be a more appropriate discussion for Meta-Wiki than this wiki. I would suggest visiting Meta-Wiki's Babel page for more information on how to do so. Thank you. --Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 18:26, 3 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
