About me

I've been working in mobile and online businesses - mostly start ups - for more than 20 years. I co-founded and ran Moderati, a top ringtone company in the early days of mobile content - that was fun. I also worked at Visto (now Good Technology), listen.com (now Rhapsody), and most recently Polkast, a p2p personal cloud provider designed to protect the privacy of users' content. I live in San Francisco, where I support the SF Ballet, volunteer at the St. Anthony Foundation and am a Stanford football season ticket holder.

My work

I lead mobile partnerships for WMF. Our big initiative is the Wikipedia Zero program, where we work with mobile operators to waive data charges to access Wikipedia. We're also exploring opportunities with OEM's, tech companies and mission-aligned organizations aimed at expanding Wikipedia's reach and positive impact globally.
