Karyn Gladstone
Director of Community Operations, Wikimedia Foundation
About me
Karyn Gladstone joined the Wikimedia Foundation in November, 2011 as the Director of Community Operations. Karyn is deeply embedded in the non-profit and open-source communities, and brings years of experience in non-profit technology project management and strategy to her work at the Foundation.
My work
Karyn leads a new cross-functional team focused on conducting small, rapid experiments in search of the silver bullet(s) that will increase editor retention on the projects. Karyn's team is engaged in deep community, product, and policy thinking -- translating those ideas into testing different ways to approach editor retention.
