use of translated ns names

Hi all,

What is the goal of column 'Translated names' ? It cannot be a name imagined by the translator. I guess it is a system value and must be protected if so. Else it goes to the column Purpose. More of that, in FR Help is also Aide and https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents is correct but https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Aide:Contents is not correct.

For example : (Main) is translated manually as (Principal) by me in FR, but User is translated automatically by User why this incoherence ?

Where are located the corresponding strings for template 'int' (ex: Filehist-user, on translatewiki ? , under which label ? )

Or are they aliases, and where defined ? I am a bit lost. Thanks for help. -- Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 17:58, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

missing NS entries in the array

I think the array should also document following entries present on foundation.wikimedia.org :

MediaWiki / MediaWiki talk
Help / Help talk
Campaign /Campaign talk
TimedText / TimedText talk
Module / Module talk

as used by following examples :

https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css
https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents
https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/TimedText:Wikimedia_Foundation_90_second_HR_Video_with_Disclaimer_720p.theora.ogv.en.srt
https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Module:TemplateBox

link to bad site name : not Meta

hi all, following item :

<!--T:27-->
See [[:mw:Special:MyLanguage/Help:Namespaces|Help:Namespaces]] on Meta-Wiki

is obviously wrong because it opens a page on Mediawiki and not Meta. I cannot correct source since I have no translate admin rights here (... but would be glad @GVarnum-WMF: @Martin Urbanec (WMF): to receive them if you support me, to correct similar details) so would be nice if someone could correct the source consequently. Thanks. --Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 19:18, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Fixed, thank you! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 17:35, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
