From Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki

edit Welcome to the Wikimedia Foundation website.

Thanks for being here! This wiki does not exactly follow the same rules as the other Wikimedia projects, since it is not open to all for editing, and in case of disagreement, the organ of decision will be the Board. A rule of thumb however is that if we gave you access, that means we trust you. So please, do not be shy in editing this site. There is ample work for everyone :-)

Thanks ;) --Kaganer 10:29, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mail confirmation

Could you authentify your mail address and allow other editors to mail you? Thanks.--Aphaea 03:34, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. --Kaganer 13:03, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Confirmed :) And thank you for your fix "news template"! --Aphaea 17:10, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please make your translation on meta or other place but not here, and upload a complete/frozen version? It is not good for the official website to have incomplete contents in my opinion, and important information are better to be checked by multiple eyes in my opinion. Thanks. --Aphaea 03:37, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK. --Kaganer 13:04, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see the changes your making to the fundraising templates, but please bear in mind I'm changing this page over! Cary Bass 18:11, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Are need move translated versions on {{Donate}} ? --Kaganer 18:49, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See also Faire_un_don - tab with name "Virement bancaire" on 2 rows, and this making break from main placeholder for other tabs. --Kaganer 18:54, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fixing fixing.. there's a hidden field too, that needs translated. {{donate noscript}} (unless you've got Javascript disabled and can see it!) This should also include a link to the former version of the page. Cary Bass 19:59, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Wikipedia_on_dvd" ? I are translated to Russian. --Kaganer 17:41, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remember you were interested in the incorporation of {{FundLang}} into the new donate form. Just wanted to let you know that we did it, see the bottom of any Donate page. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 14:41, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mediawiki page edits

I'm trying to figure out what you were doing with the Mediawiki pages that you created... it looks interesting. :) Can you fill me in? Philippe (WMF) 05:47, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ah! Sidebar! Philippe (WMF) 08:26, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, unfortunately - otherwise links are not working properly ;( --Kaganer 17:00, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletions

Hi. I'm working on cleaning up this wiki a bit. I've proposed the following pages for deletion. I'm notifying you as you're listed in the page history. Without objection, the pages listed below will be deleted in about a month. Thanks for all of your work here. --MZMcBride (talk) 03:02, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just found out that #ifexist only works on local media, not commons. Is this true? PiRSquared17 (talk) 16:26, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's true. Reverted. --Kaganer (talk) 17:10, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to editing access and login setup

Hello @Kaganer: First, thank you for your efforts here on Foundation Wiki and now Governance Wiki over the years. Second, I wanted to make sure you were aware that as we complete the transition to the planned Governance Wiki setup, we will be making further changes to editing access and the setup of logging into accounts.

Over the coming weeks, we will be enabling Single User Login (SUL) on this wiki - allowing all registered users edit access to the talk pages as well as translation pages. Editing on main namespaces will be limited to approved accounts. You can find additional information about these planned changes on the Meta-Wiki page for Governance Wiki. Once this transition is completed, we will begin reviewing what additional access and setup changes may be necessary to best support the purpose of this wiki. Again, thank you for all of your assistance over the years, and we look forward to seeing you utilizing the new setup. --Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 01:40, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Advance notice

Access to temporary account IP addresses was posted today, and I expect it to be ready for translation soon. I believe that everything on the page is stable, but one bit (marked with the {{info}} template) will be posted later. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 23:40, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
